I’d say we’re spoilt for choice in South London! If you’re booking a full family shoot, I’ll speak with you to plan the best location to suit your family. Some options might be your favourite local park, a woodland, an urban space, some of the London sights, a country walk near London…

Yes! I usually offer mini shoots on pre-arranged dates in the spring, summer (at the lavender fields), autumn and late autumn with an optional Christmas theme.

Yes, good question as English spring, summer, autumn and winter normally equals rain!

If it’s just raining lightly and on and off, I usually suggest we go ahead with the shoot. In between patches of rain, we usually have dry periods and possibly even a bit of sun.

And believe it or not, an overcast sky is best for outdoor photos because the clouds act as a diffuser to our giant light source, the sun! This creates soft light without the harsh shadows.

So from my perspective, I’d prefer to have a spot of drizzle over a full sun day.

I’ll always be open to rescheduling if that’s what you prefer.

This sometimes happens. Probably like you, it’s a new experience for your child and they might be a bit nervous and apprehensive.

I like to give children a bit of time to warm up to me before I start putting my camera in their face and expecting them to perform.

It’s best if you stay relaxed and patience with them. We all know, they feel our fear and play to it.

Sometimes just ignoring them encourages them to get involved. We can always do some photos of the rest of the group while we let them come around in their own time.

Worst case scenio is we schedule a reshoot. I want you to be happy with your photos so I’d rather take the time to get it right.

I do my best to prepare your proofs as quickly as I can but timing depends on my workload at the time. At the end of your shoot I’ll give you a rough date when your viewing gallery will be ready. This is usually no longer than 7-10 days after your shoot and sometimes 2-3 days if I can.

Of course! I love to do extended family shoots. If you have relatives visiting or a chance to get everyone together, a photoshoot is a great opportunity to get photos of the whole group, immediate families, grandparents and the grandchildren, cousins etc.
